Recycling
NO MORE SORTING! Your recycling efforts are easier than ever because of SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING. Single stream recycling means that material can now be collected in a total commingled fashion. Through the use of automated separation equipment at the MRF (material recovery facility), faster and more efficient separation can be obtained at a processing level than can be provided in two sort separation on the curb.
If the item is recyclable, then toss it in the recycle toter! Paper can be mixed in with plastics, aluminum, and fiber! How easy is that?? Below is the accepted commingle list, you will be surprised what can now be recycled!
Accepted Commingled List:
- Aluminum cans, trays, foil (must be clean)
- Aseptic packaging and gable top containers (milk and juice cartons)
- Steel cans and tins
- Glass bottles and jars (clear, brown, green)
